ICHS International Community High School

ichs is A pbat school

ICHS is a New York Performance Standards Consortium school. Being part of this network allows our school to assess students using PBAT (Project Based Assessment Task) portfolios instead of high-stakes Regents exams. In fact,  the only Regents exam the students need to pass in order to graduate is the ELA Regents. Students must demonstrate competency in their core classes through the use of their PBAT portfolio projects. This allows students and teachers to focus more on developing skills that are more authentically preparing students for post-secondary life.
