Hybrid learning schedule for fall 2020

We are starting the school year with a hybrid learning schedule. That means that students will be in the school building some days and working from home other days. If New York City moves into a Level 4 Health Emergency or there are COVID cases in our school building, we will switch to 100% remote learning (online classes from home) for all students. Check this page for updates.

Here is an overview of the schedule for ICHS students:

  • Students will be assigned to a specific group with its own schedule.

  • Group A will have class in the ICHS building on Tuesdays. This group will work remotely (using technology at home) the rest of the school week.

  • Group B will have class in the ICHS building on Wednesdays. This group will work remotely (using technology at home) the rest of the school week.

  • Group C will have class in the ICHS building on Thursdays. This group will work remotely (using technology at home) the rest of the school week.

  • Group E will have class in the ICHS building on Fridays. This group will work remotely (using technology at home) the rest of the school week.

  • Group D is the group for students whose families have selected 100% remote learning (using technology at home). These students will not attend classes in the school building at all.

  • Select students from all groups will be part of additional support lessons on Mondays. This group will include students with IEPs or 504 plans. It will also include students who teachers identified in needing additional support in order to pass classes.

  • If you would prefer a 100% online learning schedule for your child this year, we are offering that as an option. Call or text 929-322-4471 and leave the following information: parent name, student name, best phone number to be reached, & state that 100% at home classes on the computer are being requested.

  • Each grade level will have a different start and stop time for classes taking place at the school building. Here are the hours:

    • 9th & 10th grade students:  9:30am-1:30pm (students continue with remote classes after at 2:30 at home)

    • 11th and 12th grade students: 10:30am - 2:30pm (students continue with remote classes after 3:30 at home)
